The Gift of Writing

Before I became a writer I thought writing was easy enough to do. Now that I write, I realize it is one of the most difficult things I have ever done, especially as I strive to write well.

To write for the sake of writing is one thing, but to write for the sake of reading, that's something completely different.


A gifted writer is not just one who knows the mechanics of writing, but one who can also create pictures in the minds of her readers.
